Leaded Glass Design

I finally took the time last week to finish working on estimates for our leaded glass panels that we wanted to have made for the dining and living rooms.  We ended up getting a very fair bid from Linda at SGOPortland.com .  We decided on a classic leaded design and are going to be using tempered glass on the lower doors and a vintage glass for the upper doors.  We are anticipating that our little man will be crawling everywhere and wanting to bang on the doors/get to the things inside in just 6 short months.  Attached is the design and a couple pictures of the dining room cabinets-my sister helped to reorganize them with some new pottery we found at an estate sale in Portland this weekend :)  I dropped the doors off on Friday and Linda said they should be ready in 4-6 weeks.  She just e-mailed me the final design to approve.

The second shelf (left side) displays all the things we have found in the house walls, etc.
The camera belonged to Steve's great uncle.
We also found the framed dog print hiding behind the top shelf wine glasses in the house.

Yard Fieldtrip

first batch of roses from the front yard
all loaded and ready to go home
the nursery was very rustic and in the middle of a little shaded "forest"

Well, progress has been slow with baby Ben's arrival and being lucky enough to have family and friends visiting our little man.  In addition, we were lucky enough to take a 24-hr whirlwind trip to Vegas for a good friend's wedding.  Just wanted to show a a few pictures of the lilies and foxgloves we were lucky enough to track down for an awesome price at a NW native plant place in Oregon City a few weeks ago.  We have planted several but need to find the time to plant at least 20 more.  We also were able to finally clean the driveway (hasn't been so clean since we moved in) and get our shared garden planted with our neighbors.  There are still a couple more plants including a hot pepper and kale that we need to get but we are pretty much ready to run with it-the lettuce and tomatoes are already growing and I bet the initial batch of lettuce will be ready to eat by this weekend.
